The Stronger U Daily Nutrition Application (DNA) is the culmination of over two years of work for our team at Volum8. Hundreds of research hours, dozens of collaborative meetings with the client, and months of development and testing has led to a multi-faceted application that solves the varied and unique needs of the Stronger U community.
Because of the integrated and expansive nature of this application, we have created three different demos for your review, each one pertaining to a different user of Stronger U DNA. Each demo includes a video walkthrough and a unique demo login that allows you to experience the app as that user type. Finally, we have created a case study that tells the complete story of the project, the ups and downs, and unexpected challenges we faced as a company during this awesome project.

The Member Experience.
At the heart of the Stronger U app are the thousands of members that hope to lead healthier lives. Before the app, members were forced to communicate with their nutrition coaches using private text messages and phone calls, logging daily information was varied and handled differently depending on how the coach communicated and worked, and members were limited on how they could view historical data. The new app introduced solutions to each of these challenges, while enhancing the personal connection between the member and coach.
Stronger U DNA offers the member an all-in-one tool for logging daily nutrition data, reviewing coach feedback, tracking progress, and communicating directly with the coach. The experience is easy, personal, and meant to inspire greater health for every individual.

The Coach Experience.
A Stronger U coach’s primary role is to guide a member on a nutritional journey towards better health, whatever their goals may be. To do this, they are required to communicate with members regularly, review data gathered from members and assign new goals for the member on a weekly basis. They also need the flexibility to analyze member performance over time at a high-level.
Previously, coaches were managing all data for clients on shared spreadsheets and communicating via email or text, which made it difficult to have an audit or review of communications whenever a member would switch coaches. The process to onboard a new member varied from coach to coach in their interactions with admins and analytical capability was non-existent, or handled by each coach individually. There was no consistency and often a lot of wasted time switching between emails and spreadsheets.

The Admin Experience.
For busy admins managing dozens of coaches (and their respective members,) we needed to design an efficient way to onboard, assign and swap members with coaches. Before DNA, this was a manual, cumbersome process conducted via email and several spreadsheets. We helped define the process and expedite assignments, cutting down the time it would take an admin from 3 minutes per member to just under 12 seconds.
But that’s not all an admin needed to do. They’re also responsible for ensuring transactions are received and processed properly, reviewing performance metrics and a slew of other managerial tasks. So we built out capabilities to streamline each additional process, making the job of an admin exponentially easier.
